When is the best time to visit for a fishing trip?
The general fishing season in Slovenia runs from March to November, although opening and closing dates vary depending on the individual river and local regulations. For large trout, the spring months starting from March and April are excellent, while June and September offer the best insect hatches for dry fly enthusiasts. October is widely considered the golden month for trophy Grayling. Additionally, the winter season for Hucho Hucho or Danube Salmon runs from November to mid-February. The tying event was a highlight, with effective, well-designed streamers that made a real difference. The whole team was positive, supportive, and went out of their way to meet each participant’s wishes and requirements.
